i have an AR50, sitting in my garage is an ar125cdi, its not a straight fit, however do you think it would be possible to custom fit it, say if i was to find a pin out for each of them... or am i wasting my time i DESPERATLY need a non retarded igniton system, however i can justify spending £50 for one

Hi

It might be possible but I am not sure exactly why you would want to and I would say that you have a good chance of frying the AR125 cdi trying to get it to work.

What is the problem with the AR50 one? Would an AR80 one be an improvement?

All the best

Keith

heres the scenario

going up a hill in 5th
engine looses power
switch to 4th
engine still looses power
switch to 4rd
engine maxes on the restrictor

i want an ar80 one, but cannot find one for the life of me

Hi

It might be easier to play with the gearing slightly. Either raise the gearing so that it will pull third without actually hitting the rev limiter or lower it so that 4th will do the same.

Cheaper than playing with a cdi.

To be honest I didn't know the AR50 had any kind of restriction in the cdi and it surprises me that it does.

All the best

Keith

There's this closed guarded, little known secret known as the postal service. If you can uncover one of their convert operatives, you may be able to send a package a long distances for a nominal fee.
