Honda CG 125 1997 Electric Starter

Hello, I recently passed my CBT and am looking for a Honda CG125 (Similar to the one I rode on my CBT) However with my budget the best i could find was a 1997 and a 1996 CG 125, i was wondering if these 2 had electric starts, from the pictures I only know they had Kick starts but not electric ones. I feel as a new rider (Who is likely to stall) I would prefer one with electric, does anyone know if they have electric starters and if not, what cheap 125s would you recommend that do?

I think leccy start came in 2001 but don't quote me, there was a spell when they had both my 07 only had leccy start.

Ah, damn, well, do you think £600 is a reasonable price for a 1997 CG? I would like the electric start, but from what i heard the CG is an excellent learner bike.

A CG125 will kick over very easily on it's kick start.
Electric is just a wee bit easier for ladies/girls to use.

Just make sure you keep the ignition system in good order. Tight and clean connections.

CG 125s are generally bullet proof. 100mpg +

People always want more power but you will find better anticipation of the road ahead will allow you to not use the brakes (which are the nemesis of low capacity bikes) and 'make good progress'. With proper tyres on the CG 125 is ace.

electric start came in at 2001 which had a kickstart along with it untill 2004 when they went over the just electric start

last year i sold a 2007 cg for 700 quid, so you should be able to get alot newer bike for your money

Definitely get a bike with electric start. Sure, I generally choose to kick start my Enfield for laughs, but if anything goes wrong or you meddle with the fuelling in any way, you'll be very, very glad of having an electric foot to spin it over while you yell "Piece! Of! Antiquated! Crap! WHY! WON'T! YOU! FIRE?"
