Bolt the hub in the frame with the appropriate spacers. Find the middle point. See where this lands on the hub. That's your offset.
A steel rule clamped between the fork legs/swingarm legs would be a good tool for this. You can measure halfway and how far offset to either side the hub flanges are.
Don't be too fussy, a slightly wrong offset either way wont upset the handling unless the tyre is rubbing on something. The back wheel in a Yamaha V-max is offset about an inch and a half off the midline of the bike by design. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink.
