im having a couple of issues with my gsxr 750 k1. the battery isnt charging.

tried a new battery first as i thought is was down to not being used since april. i rode for around 10 miles with the lights on as it was dark. just as i got to my garage i noticed the digital display had gone but the backlight was still on and the rev counter was at 0. then my bike died and didnt have enough power to start. ive had a volt metre on it @ idle 12.5v and theres no differance @5000rpm. so my thought is reg/rec and/or stator? ive got a mate lending me a spare reg/rec

also when i was riding it. between 1000rpm and 3000rpm it was running bad . like not all cylinders are firing

do you think the 2 problems are related?

Probably yes, you need power to make sparks and for fuel injection to work.
