West Midlands - anyone fancy an off roading

Was supposed to be laning with a friend on Sunday but he's pulled out, anyone local (or less local - I have a van) fancy some off roadings, I don't like going out on my tod.

I have a spare bike - XR20, fully road legal, so if you have ride other bikes insurance you're welcome to try it.

Where are you going, do you think it's going to be wet? I ask because my CRM is on road tyres and I've blown the TTR's gearbox, I was thinking about sticking a knobblie on the front of the CRM tomorrow at work while I have free access to the tyre machine.

Looks pretty dry. Not fussy about where, Ridgeway lane is ok but short, there's a few miles that link together quite nicely out by Brackley

Just been fettling with the CRM, she hasn't been started since sometime in May.

She went on the 15th kick!

I know she needs a top end rebuild in the near future and the CS Sprocket oil seal replacing, I was going through some of my knobblies and I think I would be better off with the Conti-Escape on the front with some air dropped out. Wired up the brake light again, topped up the fluids, just need to sort the puncture tomorrow now.

I like Ridgeway Lane, the only thing is there isn't much around it just a couple of farm tracks with public access.

I'd love to try your XR out, I'd imagine its very similar to my Yamaha, but no insurance, I think. And, of course, you have a CRM too so won't be any different to mine, maybe more sprightly if the top end isn't worn.

Went out on the CRM's.

Was a pretty good time, I didn't crash for once and Tristan deaded his right leg!
