Helpful as ever Robby.
You're best checking biketrader and eBay to see what other similar bikes are going for. they're also good places to sell.

The value will be dependant on how many miles, what damage there is on it, service history, things needing replacing soon (tyres, chain sprocket etc), is it restricted, is all all orignal bits on the bike, and how much tax left. As Dean said have a look through Bike Trader, but remember just because there is an advert doesn't mean its a good price. And it might have been better to work out how much you want for the bike before placing adverts for it. Laughing

I'd say leave it. You're not able to look at it and decide if it is a good deal and if it a good swap for what you're selling then there is a high chance you could be left out of pocket. Tell the guy to sell it and come back with the money, or if you know someone who knows enough about bikes get them to check the TS50 over and decide if it a good swap. The TS50 will offer you nothing unless it is worth more than your bike, but is very unlikely to be as TS50's are older bikes as opposed to a 2003 bike. Thumbs Up

Thats a tr50. Seriously don't bother unless he offers money your way as well. Your bike is worth more plus do you really want the hassle of selling another bike?

Looks like it has just been cleaned. Can tell nothing about the actual condition of the bike from a photo other than it's not got any obvious cosmetic problems. Do you actually want another 50CC as I thought you were now looking to get a 125? If you do then fine if you want it go for it but it would be a better idea to sell your bike and use the money to buy one. If you don't want another 50cc then leave it as I doubt it'll be worth more than your bike and it'll have the hassle of selling it. Buying bikes is a potential minefield so it's best avoided if you can do, like this time it could be unless it is a really good bike for that price and you'd easily be able to get the money back by selling it. We can't tell over here if it is a good buy or not so that's down to you to decide and it's your money at the end of the day.

It does ask the question why he wants to get another 50cc after doing just 400 miles on that one, it can't be any good if after just 400 miles he is looking for another 50cc.

You would be lucky to get £600-£700 for that tr50 they are rare and not sort after in this country. Brand new I doubt he paid much over 1.4k.

You would have big problems selling that bike unless he offers that and £600 on top I really wouldn't say it was worth your while.
