yzf 750 what to look out for?

been to look at one im interested in but the guy said it runs rough as hell up to 2500rpm or so then just takes off.

it idles fine all be it a little lumpy but he did have the idle pretty low, revved fine with and without choke once warmed up.

give it a fistfull of revs and a puff of black smoke comes out the exhaust...

ideas what this is?

anything else to check out?

Guess its running a bit rich, what year is it? Does it have a exup valve in the exhaust? could just be needs rejetting if its a non standard pipe, or a sticking exup valve in the exhaust,

I've got pretty fed up on here of late. You've got wankwheel banning for less than what others do then you've got people that are apparently known to have multiples that can stick around. I know it's self moderating to a degree but there is some one sided playing here.

if anyone is considering any sort of yamaha with a seized exup valve check the price of a new valve before buying, they used to be expensive, now they are wallet breaking, they have doubled in price since I last bought one
