Hi people,
In the spirit of the oft underrated but occasionally overused caption compo, I have come up with a challenge to test even the most talented of artists:

Design me some leathers!

I am planning to buy some made to measure leathers at some point in the future, and Crowtree leathers will do any design that I want.

Personally I was going to go for plain black with some reflective striping, but I am calling out to all BCF members to convince me otherwise.

Take this template, go forth and get yer crayons out!

Post entries in this thread, and the winner will get the fabulous prize of the respct and admiration of his BCF peers!

Well, what are you waiting for? Smile

I'd be tempted to have a go, but I don't know you! So I need some hints about what sort of person you are, what you like, what colours you like, blah blah Razz

Just design something that *you* like, because I won't be able to afford to go full custom anyway - I just thought it might be a fun thing to do!

seriously

with Crowtree, you are much better off spending the money on features rather than tartiness

full armour
back and chest protection
stretch knees and back
kevlar crotch
slider patches

honestly they are superb but if you go mad with colour then they get expensive and unwearable due to the number of panels required

If you decide to use this design I shall expect a rather generous commission for my work:

Or try asking them to make them in some kind of invisible/light bending cloaking device leather like the stuff that Predator had in the film. Something like this:

Dodsi's design is straight of Tron. That's the one I'd go for - if you do it your bike will turn 90 degree's at ANY speed. How cool?

Dodsi's idea reminds me of the Lawnmower man, or Tron.

Mr C,
Thats exactly what I was going to do, but I also thought it would be amusing to harness the artistic talents of BCF members at the same time.

I seriously doubt that I can afford the tartiness options! Laughing

I am going to go for the full armour, stretch panels, slider patches etc. as soon as I have the money.

Ok got bored colouring it in but you get the gist.

I like to call it "Au natural".

Unfortunately you can't appreciate the texture in the pic.

my design basically is taking night time riding into view

so by using hi vis tubing around the armour panels, and a hi vis belt bit and accross the trousers etc

if you have plain black if someone knocks you off they have a excuse in my design they dont

Bollocks.

"Oh, I didn't see him cos he was wearing all black" would not carry any merit if the driver is witnessed to be drunk/on the mobile/too old and vain to wear his specs/angry with the Mrs and driving like a maniac.

Hi-viz is certainly a reason for them being less likely to knock you off, but just because you choose to be wearing black, that is NOT an justifiable reason for having knocked someone off a bike.

I have a black/blue bike and a black leather jacket. I often wear jeans and a blue/black helmet.

I am extremely large and noisy, and so is my bike (and so is its horn, which I use on a regular basis in situations which I perceive as dangerous).

I rarely ride at such speeds that someone cannot anticipate what I am going to do and react safely.

If they can't see/hear me coming, then they are obviously NOT paying enough attention.

Doesn't make it much better for you though.

I still haven't got around to getting some hi-vis stuff; but was reminded quite how not-seeable people are on bikes a couple of years ago.
Was pillion on a CBR following a R6 with two people wearing black leathers, was on a dark section of the M4. From the rear it was quite hard to make out that it was there, never mind that there was a bike with people on so many meters infront of us.

Quite suprised me as I always took the attitude 'if they don't see this big bike with lights, they won't see me'.
