Hi

Check this out:-

https://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/docs3/PolicingConsultation.pdf

Note section 5.19 about the planned introduction of continuous registration.

Also section 6.5 which proposes allowing the police to fingerprint you at the side of the road, which sounds like a way to get everyones fingerprints on file (especially as they specifically mention destruction of DNA samples after use, but do not mention this for fingerprints).

All the best

Keith

Hmmmh, IMO that section 6.5 reads like it's intended to support a national identity card Neutral

This government seems to feel they have a need to know what everyone is doing and where they are at all times. They are attempting to justify themselves by arguing that if you object to this then you must have something to hide and so must be a social deviant who is breaking the law. The policy seems to be that if they drum up sufficient paranoia about real or imagined terrorist threats/paedophiles/illegal immigrants lurking round every corner, their ideas will seem to be acceptable and reasonable in the public eye.

The most worrying part of this to me is that they seem determined to pass legislation that means if you do not comply with their schemes to know where you are and what you are doing, you actually WILL be commiting an offence, making their policys self-fulfilling.

I for one do not feel the police have any need to have access to my whereabouts, genetic information or fingerprint details. The government certainly has no need to know where I keep my scrap motorcycles and which roads I drive on. I do not see the necessity for passing a biometric identity check in order to recieve treatment from a doctor.

If they ever try to gather any such information from or about me, I will object, forcibly if necessary.

To illustrate my point

Why not make it mandatory for everyone to provide a blood sample every six months to check if you have been using drugs? automatic jail sentances should apply for a fail. Why should you object? You have nothing to hide if you haven't been taking drugs. If you refuse to take the test we will make it an offence, guilt is assumed. Why stop at that, you could use the same sample to test your cholesterol, those with excessive levels should be forced to pay more national insurance to cover their drain on the NHS, refusal to take the test will result in withdrawal of NHS privelages.

Paranoid? I don't think I am, they would do it if they though they could get away with it!

Labour is the new fascist power,

They take more and more of our money and we get less and less good services for it Thumbs Down

They want to bring in fascist laws aimed at the hard working majority of people for petty crimes meanwhile real criminals are laughing there ass of at the pathetic justice system and the sentences which it gives out and then only if they are convicted because maybe the police write down a wrong number or something stupid in which case they walk!. Thumbs Down

Mean while they have a system set up that a prisoner serving life in jail can claim financial support to take the prison service to court! Thumbs Down

oh also if you live in another country come here claim asylum we'll feed you house you and hey bring the kids too! Thumbs Down

Then we have the lazy assholes of the country claiming jobseekers for years though they still are getting paid didn't tony say jobseekers would stop this sort of thing, also if your female and you don't want to work to much have a kid then we,ll get you a house for free! Thumbs Down

Rant off! God we really do need help here! Thumbs Down
