Hello from the US
I just picked up a new bike that i am very exited about. Its a Kawasaki KH100 from 1975 and this thing is very clean. when i bought this bike the previous owner said that in order for the bike to run it needed the points cleaned and that the bike was made to be magneto instead of battery. when i took the cover off i found that the magneto wheel completely blocks access to the points plate except for two access openings. to clean this, i bought a bottle of electric parts cleaner from what a friend told me to use.
This afternoon i sprayed the cleaner into the access ports all over the points plate condensers and the timing shtuff. not sure if that will suffices and/or create a spark. After the product air dried i tired to see if the spark plug would spark when its attached to the wire and off the engine . Nada, no spark or anything . not sure how this magneto system is supposed to work but currently have no functional electronics on the bike. a image of the magneto
also this is my first two stroke
is there supposed to be an open hole on the engine case right near where the clutch cables go in? there was no threading for a plug of some type ill post a picture of the mystery hole ____________________ low budget warrior |
