zephyr 750 stuck in 3rd gear

out riding today and all of a sudden i could not change up or down Sad. pulled the clutch in to pull over. tried rocking the bike backwards/forwards but still the gear stick would not move. fired the bike up managed to slip the clutch to set of back home. any ideas what the problem could be

Is the (you have the manual, ja?) selector mechanism behind the clutch cover? Check for missing spring or other untowardedness, otherwise I am sorry for your loss of gearbox. Crying or Very sad

Remove the sprocket cover.
Remove the front sprocket
Remove the cover behind the sprocket
Tell me what you see/what's broken?
