Thinking of trading the ninja in for a GSXR750.

I ride the ninja all year round in most weathers to commute to work and also for a weekend toy.

Is the GSXR up to the worst of Yorkshire weather???

You haven't stated which one, but I'd say it's fairly similar to your Ninja - generally they seem to be better than the budget end of Suzuki models (ie SV650).

Sorry, I would be looking at a 2007-2008 bike.

When I was in the market for the same age 600, Suzuki fit and finish was the worst of the bikes I looked at and the fasteners are made of cheese. Basically from best to worst it went Honda, Yamaha, triumph, Kawasaki, Suzuki.

I ended up getting a Daytona and did about 9k a year, in all weathers.

Had a K7 750, finish was shit without even riding it in winter. Any kind of moisture furred it up and started rust. Worse than a 70's Datsun.

Presumably you found this to be ok. Anything to know or watch out for? I'm about to buy a new one, in the next few weeks.

Yes, it was fine. It was ACF50ed once a year and polished and waxed twice a year and it looked immaculate. They're dead easy to work on, everything is easy to get at and remove. Reg/rec recalled under warranty, the EXUP failed and is pretty much the only common fault. Easily removed and deleted from the map via TuneECU, it does nothing except make emissions better.

10/10 recommended. Would buy again.
