I couldn't give a monkeys which is faster... on that sort of road you can't normally go fast anyway due to chances of oncoming traffic/sheep. And given a closed road, I think for once the car would actually be more fun than the bike due to much less chance of breaking bones following the inevitable (for me) cock-up
