Another gratified punter here.

Got it yesterday. Threw away the short quick-start leaflet because I'm a man and just hooked it up using common sense instead.

Everything worked really quickly and it's pretty easy to get going and navigate the sucker and there are indeed many many streams and whatnot and sports channels and whatnot and is well worth the endeavour especially if you live somewhere like in fucking Austria and would you believe it we even ended up watching Corry and Eastenders and Jeremy Kyle last night just because we could and even topped it off with a helping of Keeping Up Appearences on demand.

Cheers CaNsA for the whole shabang Thumbs Up

So in short: great success

Just wanted to add my two-peneth to this thread!
I bought one of these magic little boxes from Cansa and have to say its just fantastic!!
Just so easy to use and despite a few teething issues (user error, not box fault) and thanks to support from Cansa, I now love my little Kodi box and have ordered one for my housemate too! Smile

Have also been chatting to my dad and work mates, who are all potentially interested!
It really is worth the money and so far, I cant see any negatives.
I was even pleased to see you can watch the standard channels as normal.
Thanks Cansa! Very Happy Thumbs Up

How would one of these stand up against my current vu duo box with a sky card share?..... EPG with timed recording of series etc, and all sky channels (mostly for the kids nickelodeon / disney etc).... not fussed about films as I run plex with couch potato on a server and stream from that

It is possible to record using my boxes, but pointless and not worth the effort as everything is on demand.

The only things you may end up watching live are sports.

There are probably more channels available on my awesome box than the sky card sharing boxes.

There is an EPG too.

Yeah, im not too fussed about the recording, as long as the on demand isnt as terrible as 4OD etc!

do some of the channels require subs from places? (cant imagine there being a great service on free servers where every fucker is streaming at the same time)

I've never had a problem streaming, but there are subscription services available from Ruya, Sports Donkey, Stream TVbox and Sports Mania.

I would guess the cost would be less than £5 per month, but you would have to contact the supplier directly.

I received my telly box this week. I plugged it in, with a wired connection to the internet and it worked.

I've done some clicking to see what the options are and I'm very happy with it. I watched Hunger Games 2 yesterday in what was claimed 1080p, I have no way of checking. The quality was very good, no stuttering etc that I might expect from streaming, though I am on Virgin's "70Mb" net.

Thanks again CaNsA. I won't be missing my ruggers next season now!

I didn't expect it, but I was surprised that all of the cables required were included. I thought that was a nice touch.

Currently watching xfactor from last week ... the missus ...

I have all the movies to choose from ... we have xfactor.

So having had time to use the box I can say it is a thumbs up from me.

Once I had got used to the navigation and all the channels (loads of them), I have now successfully watched enough films/TV box sets etc that it won't be long before it has paid for itself.

Not used it for sport programmes yet but that is next on the list.

Strangely the only thing I have to remember is that I have it connected to the TV Rolling Eyes

Cheers

Alex

We don't get Fibre yet so is this Kodi box viable on just broadband?

Ordered one of these boxes from CaNsA, got it a couple of days ago and I couldn't be happier with it. A month or so back, I had ordered one of the Kodi XBMC boxes from Amazon, an Android operated bit of kit, to cut a long story short, I returned it for a full refund after four days of struggle. Complete and utter crap.
I connected CaNsA's box up as per the very explicit instuction sheet, switched on and after connecting wirelessly, and the box updating itself for a couple of minutes, I was watching programmes on my TV. At 69 going on 70, if I can do it, anyone can.....recommended.

My Sky offer has just ended so currently paying large-ish monthly bills for fcuk all.

I've read through this thread and it seems that they're easy to use even for a technophobe like me. I have nextflix just now and have no problems with streaming so I guess my internet connection will be ok to use one of these?

I'd like to be able to watch sports (premier league football & bike racing) either live or on catch up which if I've got it right, these boxes can do?

As long as the missus can find and watch her programs (usual girly crap) then we'll all be happy Laughing

CaNsA I'll be ordering one when I've cancelled my Sky!
