Run time on full charge approx a month.

    9hrs usage from a 2 minute(!) charge

    Uses an iPhone charger

I can't see the issue here, putting the socket on the bottom just makes it look nice. Given the huge price of the fucking thing I'd want it to look rather nice too. I'm not going to buy one either.

I suspect the charger hole on the bottom is to reduce tooling costs. Where the charger port is on the new one is where the clip that holds the battery cover on for the old one.

I'm amazed they haven't missed the port out altogether and sold it with an internal battery and induction charging mouse mat.

Naturally, with an apple specific connector so you can't plug it into a USB.

I agree. I like a bit of Apple hardware, from time to time, but I'm not exactly a 'fanboi' and would be quick to criticise. This really isn't something worth the effort though.

As for the rest of its functionality, etc., I wouldn't like to say as I've never even seen one.

On the plus side I guess at least it keeps the port filling with dead skin cells not so much spilt coffee

A 3rd party has made one, but 3days to fully charge the mouse. Laughing

Naturally, ensure that the charging mouse mat is actually just a battery extension pack, as we can't have wires going to that either. Thankfully the mouse mat is able to be fully charged via induction from the new iTable.
