I'd vaguely heard of this chap (Nathan Millward) and his adventure but now there's a short video. Very frank it is too.

Bought his first book when it came out, he was kind enough to do a nice little drawing on the inside covers which was pretty cool (rather than just a squiggle signature).

I think a lot of people (maybe blokes in particular??) have a thing in their brain which when triggered creates a massive desire to be "moving forward". Maybe it's an evolutionary trick to spread genetics, to avoid simply having families in the same vicinity as a person is born.

I know this desire to move forward can last years and be a daily thought if not dealt with. But after a long time, it recedes and "settling down" becomes an acceptable place to be.

Nathan certainly seems to eb and flow between the two.

This video is mega Thumbs Up

I call fake. I mean, he wasn't on a GS with parts being flown to him by BMW and a fully equipped support vehicle following. How can he possibly have done it on a 105cc machine?

Seriously though, a good video - albeit a bit superficial (necessary to cram such an epic ride into a very short film). I especially liked the bit towards the end, when the blokes from NZ turn up on similar bikes, having been inspired by him.

Loved it Thumbs Up 10-out-10 to him!

Far more impressive than some well off twat with a GS 1200/ Super Tenere and a fat wallet doing the same trip.

Make`s my little trips on my 250 look like kiddies playtime Smile

Went to the NEC bike show yesterday.
He was there, with his bike too. Was a nice chap to chat to.

Met some other 'proper' adventure riders, Sam Manicom, Jeremy Kroeker and Rhys Lawrey (youngest guy to circumnavigate the world on a bike).

All really interesting people to talk to and all keen to give advice and encouragement to other riders.
