Thought I would put down some of my findings from the last month on the street. I personally find it a great little learner bike, having ridden both a CG125 and a GN125 there is bog all between them. They are all relatively slow as you would expect from a 4 stroke 125. Although the older CG didn't like starting cold.

I found the street felt a bit bigger and comfier for me, but that could just be because I am a touch over 6ft and about 16.5 stone! it happily pulls me along about 60 on my NSL part of my commute. And its plenty nippy enough around town and city. I have been using it to commute through Cardiff and its been pretty good, filtering through rush hour is great in comparison to the time I used to spend sat in the car....

When I was looking there were little reviews about the bike other than the odd one liner that simply stated 'Chinese crap.' or something.

Its a cheap bike don't get me wrong, but having seen some of the nearly 10 year ybrs going for the same sort of money I am glad i bought the Street. A mate recently bough a 2006 ybr for a lot more than I paid and its a dog.

The electrics aren't that bad, I initially had an issue with intermittent clock and rear light, this I believe was a loose connection as a wiggle of the wires and it came back on. I noticed that the loom had come out of its clips near the handle bars, put it back in and all is fine.

I leave for work and 4am and have barely touched the chalk as it starts first time, everytime. It has only let me down once, last week when it died. i pushed it home and on the weekend had a look. Simply a fuse, replaced and it started first time again.

my only real criticism is the the rev counter is pointless as it doesn't seem to move quick enough, not a big issue. It also seems the speedometer is out by about 10mph when checked against gps on NSL. so the clocks are showing 70 but in actual fact its 60.

mileage is 6500 on a 2013, very little rust and seems in good condition. I not sure the mileage is correct through, possibly closer to 4000 as when I have been clocking the miles I am doing it seems to be out. The clock on the bike says I have done 50 miles, but in actual fact I have only done 30 miles.

I think its good value for money, cheap to run as i am getting around 100mpg from it.

I did oil, filters, plug and front pads for under £30 just after I bought it. bargain...

Having passed my Mod2 yesterday afternoon I am still in no rush to sell the Street as it is doing the job. Which is great as it means I can wait until the right bike at the right price comes along, having missed the one bike I wanted yesterday...

If I come across any more issues I will post them in here.

The odometers inevitably show kilometres even if a mph speedo has been fitted.

You should be getting more than 100 kmpg from it. Wink

Fair review, there's no more reason to be suspicious of a Street than of a YBR or CB125F.

That'll explain it then. The 100mpg was from my conversion I think by the clocks on the bike its 170kmpg. so that should be right
