When I put my FX650 on a paddock stand, the rear wheel spins freely whereas the front has too much friction caused by the front brake. The noise is noticeable when riding too (like a rubbing noise on each rotation)

I took the bike to one guy who said it is normal due to the weight. On the other hand CBR600's wouldn't be tolerable if the brake was always slightly on.

I've had the brake off and found it was quite dry so I used copper grease where applicable. It did help a little bit but it still doesnt feel right.

You will always get some contact between the pads and the discs. Its the level of contact that matters. If you give it a good spin when its off the ground and it does a couple of revolutions it should be OK.

Also, the sintered pads on my Fazer make it sound like metal to metal contact and worse than it really is.

However all that said, you shouldn't be able to hear it when you are riding and if thats the case I would firstly go for a caliper strip and clean.

You should only use copper grease on the back of the pads, it dries up and hardens and ruins rubber seals, red rubber grease off ebay is what you want

Where do you imagine it was applicable?

Sliding caliper brakes, right? Check that they're actually free to slide.

Then get the pistons out, clean them up, and clean or if necessary replace the seals.

Better now than leaving it until winter proper, it's not going to get better by itself.
