Currently ride a K3 GSXR 600, plan to buy a Y-K3 750 (same shape as my 600 - just different forks, swing arm and the obvious).
Why I want a 750 over my 600...
-Roughly 40% of my riding is two up, extra oomph would be nice when the OH is on board
-I can imagine a 750 having a nice chunk more torque over the 600 but not to an excessive point like on a 1000.
-The 750 seems to be highly rated
-£50 cheaper to insure than my 600 (600/£400 750/£350, this didn't make much sense to me )
-The difference in price is roughly £250 between my 6 and a decent 750, so it's far from a huge financial jump/i'm not risking much if I dislike the 750.
-All mod's on my 600 K3 I've bought will bolt straight onto a Y-K3 750 (akrapovic exhaust, carbon bits and bobs, double bubble screen, R&G crash protection kit, seat cowl, etc etc), so no money lost there either.
Opinions?
And to anyone who's owned both, how would you compare the 600 to the 750? Pro's and con's of the 750 next to the 600? |
