First off I'm new to bikes and would like to say hi to everyone and thanks for letting me join, As the title says I have got myself a project to tinker with its a Dt 125lc which was a field bike which I intend to put back onto the road at some point. I have no paperwork V5 so will have to send off for it, there is a frame number which is nice and clear and some markings on the engine but am unsure if this is the engine number? these markings are on the side of the barrel, is that where I should find the engine number? its 11 digits long. the bike looks to be a mk2 with a front disc brake. also I'm looking for a online manual if anyone could help on either of these that would be great (I did search for manual and looked through the threads) many thanks.

The best bet for a manual that you can look at easily is a Haynes via Amazon

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/1850104174/ref=sr_1_1_twi_pap_1_olp?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1446043357&sr=1-1&keywords=haynes+dt125lc

I had one of those DT125s,but only as a project bike

That's a mk3 engine No is on the crankcase, left side above where the swingarm bolt goes through engine. I have a Mk1 which I am currently restoring, plenty of manuals on eBay, that's where I got mine.
