My recently purchased peugeot xp6 50cc has been giving me some hassle.

On flats it struggles to reach 30mph, up hill just about gets 20 and downhill i can get to 40.

It gets boggy or spluttery at the higher ranges of rpm and so i cant rev too high without the spluttering happening.

I asked a few friends and they said it could be either that the carb needs cleaning or that the carb is too small.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why not talk to whoever you purchased the bike from and ask what they have done to it?
