OK I'm new to this forum and to biking but I'm hoping you guys can help me. I have a Suzuki gs125 s on a c plate so she's 30 years old. Its a great bike but today I went to ride it and after a few minutes it cut out no warning. We thought a wiring problem and fixed that so off we went again. This time it cut out but would not restar,no ignition nothing the whole thing was dead. Worked out that the main fuse had blown and used the spare. She started right back up but less than a minute later the fuse went again iv managed to get it home and having taken the seat off to see what the damage is there are a lot of melted wires which my boyfriend now says is connected to the rear brake light, he thinks it may have been shorting. Is it a simple as replacing the melted wires and fuse or am I looking at a deeper issue here? Any ideas would be appreciated it seems like every time I fix her something else brakes!
