Got stopped by a couple of bike cops today. Who can guess what they stopped me for and what I got as a result?

From the fact they look to be set up, I assume they are pulling over all bikers, probably to tell them that filtering is dangerous, or that speeding is naughty or something.

If that's why they pulled you I suppose the offence would be TS50, failure to comply with a traffic sign, 3 points.

They may also have argued that when you entered the chevron area you couldn't see that it was safe because the bus was in the way.

The chevroned area is the hatched bit where you pass the bus. The zigzags are not chevrons.
