Just bought a 2005 aprilia mx 125 and have noticed when you put the front brake on and push down on the forks the left fork makes a springy noise half way down, sounds similar to a squeaky bed spring.

Had a look online and from what I have read there's either no oil or something's wrong with the spring guide.

Would like some input before I start stripping it so any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

If you've got some fork oil, undo the drain bolt and see if any oil comes out. If you just bought the bike it's worth, at least, changing the fork oil, (and all the other liquids), as a matter of routine, moreso if you suspect a problem!
