J & S took over most of their stores didn't they?

Their own brand decent gear would sell via J & S but their sales of other stuff can't compete with other online outlets I'd bet, so what's the point? Raping the brand?

They[*] necroed three of the shops last year including the Glasgow outfit 5 doors down from J&S. Can't think why.

https://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/ourshops/

[*] From the comedy Ikea style nämës I assume it's the remnants of actual Hein Gericke rather than some UK outfit that's bought the trademark.

I'd love to see HG make a comeback, if only to provide J&S with some competition.

When I want to go and touch some gear, I've got two J&S branches reasonably nearby, a branch of Infinity which is a sod for parking and a handful of little one man bands, that stock three cheapo lids and a showerproof oversuit.

Having said that, HG UK went broke was it two or three times?

They would need to do something to seriously up their game.

The most comfy and waterproof boots I ever had were from HG. When I heard they opened again, I bought a pair straight away... They were way too small so they had to go back but lings HG happily sent me the next size up.... They were too small too. But again, they were more than happy to try again and now at last I have a new pair or comfy waterproof boots. Only about £70 too. Thumbs Up

I got that email too.
It looks like there are three stores only, so mostly online. Website appears to be mostly in German when I looked at it.

I got a well worn 2 piece HG set of leathers from ebay in an auction. For a fiver Laughing the jacket was too big and
I sold it on for 40 quid, the trousers I kept and are my absolute favourite motorcycling leg wear. Very well made and
with a patina only years of use can create. I love them and would happily buy HG again just from my experience of
used HG gear.

Just as an aside, who the hell has a 32 inch waist and a (going by actual measuring of the jacket) 52 inch chest?
Wouldn't like to meet him in a dark alley. Shocked

Argh, that backwards apostrophe drives me mad.
Wonder if they are just selling off whatever stock they have left.

Off street parking facilities for non-customers though?

Honours / risk of chest-bumping are about even.
