couple times ive seen a motorcyclist coming towards me with two legs out and staring at me, is this some kind of invitation or initiation into a weird sub-culture? Shocked Laughing

also another one, sometimes if a bike overtakes me (im on a 125) they will stick their left leg out? is that a way of saying thanks or tempting me into some sort of leg duel?

Two legs out is the Harley riding style and part of the Harley man-on-man rutting ritual.

One leg is a thumbs up during muff season.

Probably this.

Well, that's the reason I sometimes need to do it. Or if not actual cramp, just to relieve very aching knees after a long ride in a sports bike position.

Two legs out is a sprinter launching it helps keep the bike running true.

Hah brilliant 😂

I've had bikers hang there leg out as a sort of nod or wave. Maybe they are not confident enough to let go of one bar and just wave.

I'm usually a over the top waver, I know ride a CRF250L and no other riders apart from enduro riders nod or wave. So I go over the top to show my respect for other riders. But I do keep both legs on the pegs

Only had the one leg wave during my few months of riding. Don't do it myself though, I just stick to the nod, that way I still have full control of the bike should I need it.

I've had a few power rangers give me a left leg wave when they past me. Must be a little hello or as mentioned before just having a little stretch.

I only ever really take my feet off to stretch.

Oh, they'll emulate anything that Rossi does.

Years ago while filtering on the m25, I pulled into a space to let a quicker rider pass, I left my indicator on and pulled out to filter again, the rider infront began shaking his left foot furiously as if he was trying to get a stone out of his boot.
A few seconds pass then I notice my indicator was on, this is when it got strange, when I turned it off his foot stopped flapping about, I've since gotten rid of that bike but if anyone knows where I can get those remote body controlling indicators, let me know.
