Melanie and I have been aware of Wetherspoons hotels for quite some time now, but never used one.
I stayed in my first back in July when I went to Bridgend to pick up the FJR.
The hotels have a different entrance to the pub, so you don't have to walk through the pub to check in.
This weekend we went to Kings Lynn and Shrewsbury and stayed at the Wetherspoons Hotel in both places and I have nothing but praise for both the standard and quality of the rooms and the friendly helpfulness of the staff. The staff at all of the establishments were genuinely friendly, not the normal McDonalds "have a nice day" friendly.
The prices were reasonable we paid £64 for Saturday and £39 for Sunday.

So if you are looking for somewhere to stay, include Wetherspoons in your search, you may be pleasantly surprised.

I had no trouble in either place with parking. The one in Kings Lynn turned into a nightclub in the evening and the bike was parked outside and nobody took a blind bit of notice of the bike. Which has been my experience anywhere I have parked. Including some major European cities.

I stopped at one in Edinburgh and that too was decent quality and good price. I will definitely look out for others when I'm travelling.

Nothing at all on topic, but I'm sure you shot for this when you picked the title. And it was rattling round in my noodle for hours after I read the OP.
