Mine is YB125SP and tube tyres so different from YBR, but it had really slippy genuine tyres made in taiwan. I've read several accident report(slipped in the rain) from YB125SP owners, so I've changed to IRC tyres instantly. (And I'm pleased with them)
Regarding YBR125, owners say its genuine tyres are slippy. This may be similar to mine (YBR(since 2007(?)) seems to be tubeless though).
I found YBR125wiki page here, and found some possible tyre choice.
YBR125(Japan model)
Genuine Front : 2.75-18 42P
Genuine Rear : 90/90-18 57P
Possible(?)tyre choice written in YBR125 wiki page.
(Front)------------------------------- comment
DUNLOP TT100GP 3.00-18 47S----Grips well
DUNLOP K527 3.00-18 4PR(47P)--Durability higher than TT100GP
(Rear)----------------------------------comment
DUNLOP TT100GP 90/90-18 MC 51H--Grips well
DUNLOP TT100GP 3.50-18 56H------Diameter 656mm(larger than normal)(must take some risk)
DUNLOP TT900GP 90/90-18 MC 51H--?
DUNLOP GT501 90/90-18 MC 51H----This tyre is for front use.(use with self-responsibility!)
DUNLOP K388 90/90-18 MC 51P-----?
DUNLOP K527 3.25-18 4PR (52P)---?
IRC RS-310 90/90-18 M/C 51H-----This tyre is for front use.(use with self-responsibility!)
DURO HF329 90/90-18-------------Made in Taiwan
TT100GP has classical pattern. If you don't care about it, this may be one possible choice if they are sold in UK.
