Got a 2006 Honda CBF500, been trying to remove the rear monoshock to get it off for refurbishment and shortening link to lower the bike. However I canna shift the lower bolt the secures it to the swing arm.

Top bolt was clean and come off super easy. Bottom nut came off OK, but it seems the bolt has seized solid to the shock itself - it moves as I wiggle the shock, but won't slide out.

I'm doused it in WD40 and Penetrative spray. Tried hammering it with a long bar, even with big lump hammer to shock it free, many, many times. I've rounded the bolt head on other side trying to turn it with a long handled wrench. Sad Also tried blow torch (carefully!), but it still won't budge.

I'm basically at a point of removing the back wheel and squeezing a hack saw in to saw off the bolt between shock and swing arm frame. It'll be a right pain and take friggin' ages though.
Does anyone have any other ideas before I resort to a saw?

Not too fussed about removing the remains of the bolt from the shock as I'll be swapping the end for the shorter lowering link.

Probably not much help but IME the bolt will have siezed to the ,metal, bush in the shock mounting and the outer bush will also be siezed to the shock, so you wil need to cut it on both sides, to get the shock off the swing arm.
If you get the shock off, I would imagine the refurbishers will be able to extract the remains of the bolt, I would have thought they come across this problem all the time!

Do you have access to a SDS drill? If so then you may be able to remove the bolt by attacking it with a chisel attached to said drill.
I find that many successive blows are better than the odd fuckoff massive strike. This method isn't always successful but I have had many good results using it.
The drill, BTW, must be set in hammer only mode.
