So I have recently came off my bike, other than cosmetic damage the forks are f*cked and I'm aware I need a new pair of forks on stanchions. However, there is slight damage in this area (refer to the picture, area is highlighted in red) it is slightly bent and i was wondering if i could get away with straightening it up and welding if necessary. And would I get away with just buying the forks ?
I have attached a photo of the forks I will buy, and here is a video link to a close up recording of the damage. Could someone please give me some feedback. Thanks in advance. - James

Looks like it's just the metal tab poking out of the headstock that's bent. I'm guessing the fairing or something bolts to it?

Doesn't look fatal to me, and if it's just for fairing, I'd not worry about getting it straightened. However, the only way to fully be certain that your frame is straight is to have it checked.

If in any doubt about the frame, get it checked before spending a penny repairing the bike.
