when a bore kit is fitted it DOES need running in, and yes the performance should increase. not much though unless you go the whole way and get a 70cc exhaust, and a bigger carb...
ive got a Speedfight 1 with

MHR 700c Cylinder

Malossi 21mm Carb

Malossi Big Bore reed block, with carbon reeds

Malossi Delta Clutch (adjustable)

Malossi race gearing

Malossi speed control variator

Technigas 70cc race exhaust (brand new,cost £200)

K&N air filter

But its not set up right, i need 2 get the carb tuned properly and get some suitable roller for the Variator. but at the moment i can keep up with the Gillera runner 125 and i can kill the Speedfight 100cc...

Good luck!

What kind of bore kit? Nicosil, Cast Iron etc... What kind of NRG? Liquid cooled or air cooled?

Btw, i have had 60mph on the flat and acceleration has increased alot, i also have a Leo Vince Zx chromed exhaust on it, it came with rollers but the were the wrong size rollers for my bike, i think they were heavier than the standard ones.

Not sure what its made of, but I would be pretty gentle with it and give it about 500 miles of running in. Make sure its warmed up properly and be gentle with it ie. don't go flat out and try and vary the revs rather than sticking at the same speed for long periods of time. I would fit a gear up kit now you have put this 70 kit on as you will have the power to pull taller gearing and get a bit more top end.

I had another new barrel put on mine this Saturday and it lasted for about 4 miles on the road as it was running a bit lean for a road set up and I was going to slowly as I got stuck behind 2 tractors, the running slowly knacked my piston rings. Gutted Very Happy but it was a tricky one, as I didn't want to go to fast and kill it either.

ok cheers, i havent held it flat out for long periods of time, and i havent taken it pass 8000 revs, i was looking at getting a gear up kit but there quite hard to find, do you no who sells em? and with a gear up kit would tis improve the power too much therefore needing other stuff like bigger jets carbon reeds etc?.....

Pretty much any garage can get you one through VE-UK. However if you want to order it yourself try somewhere like https://www.scootercenter.com

I would have thought you want secondary gearing, thats what I fitted to mine, although its not a 50/70cc. If you want some expert advice when buying try contacting somewhere like Taffspeed or Chiselspeed.

well that explains it. lol. the RS has got such an inaccurate speedo. hehe.
U wil get better power from ur scooter if you get a 70cc exhaust for it.

My mate had a 70cc ehaust and he said it didnt make that much difference, my leo vince zx has more than enough power behind it anyway. Wink

gettin the 70cc carb is more important than the exhaust as the idea behind more cc's is the burn more fuel at once and there for more power. if you have the same carb then no more fuel is gettin through so it makes nowhere near as much difference as more cc's should.
