Hi all

I picked up an RXS 100 last week i think it got an ok deal on it as it's quite tidy for it's age and the little engine sounds sweet however it does have a few problems so you won't hear the last of me just yet Smile the first thing I've noticed wrong is that when you put the bike in neutral the oil light comes on as well as the neutral light witch is strange, the indicators don't flash so I'm ordering a new relay soon but i was wondering if you any of you electrical brainiacs could give me any clues as to why the oil light is coming on? obviously the first thing i checked was that there is enough oil Very Happy i haven't had chance just yet too get stuck in but I'm hoping too soon

Thanks in advance

From memory of my RXS, that's supposed to happen. It's a way of letting you know that the bulb/circuit is working.

the light is suppose to come on in neutral, it's to check it works, if it does come on while you are riding, then you have trouble

not much you can do with the indicators other than making sure the earths are all clean as it 6v

RXS indicator relays are notoriously shite and short lived. Wemoto started doing one a couple of years back that actually lasts a while.

If you aren't already it might be worth joining the Yammy100 forum. Manuals and lots of good info available there. Not replacing the wonderful and kitten friendly BCF of course.. Smile

Use 8w bulbs and relay (usually stolen from a passing C90).
