Just stumbled across this bike.

23.80 HP (17.4 kW)) @ 6500 RPM
189.6kg
320cc (19.53 cubic inches)

Have I missed the point or something? Why would anyone buy this motorcycle?

Let's face it, some exceptional individual managed to get you to swop money for a reheated ZZR250 so there is indeed, always one.

Because its a TROO 'MURRICAN "sports bike" so the Yank riders who dont want a Harley can buy a "sports bike" thats domestic made and not a "terrorist import" vehicle thats killing the great American auto industry... or something like that, I dunno, yanks are weird when it comes to buying cars so I can only assume theyre just as weird when it comes to bikes Mr. Green

Well. Honda sold a shitload of superdreams over the years and this looks like it does something similar but looks a litle better.

I wonder if it is below some state limit for one requirement or another in terms of capacity or power or power:weight? I know when I hired a 110cc mini chopper in Florida, they didn't even ask if I had a driving licence.

Might be it's on the limit of what you can ride without a test (or helmet?) in some states?

Well it fooled me, with the Texan dive bar/Sons of Anarchy wannabe font and a name like "Johnny Pag" and the generic cowboy guitar noises, so it'll likely fool any American too! Mr. Green

(Well, not so much "fooled", more I didnt care enough to actually look it up and took it at face value! Razz )

I can't tell if it's just enough bike to eat harleys at the traffic light grand prix, or exists soley to demonstrate that harleys are faster than sportsbikes. I think it migjt depend on how fat the rider is. I think at 90something kg I'm well into american sizes, and 33bhp is enough for a modesly light (185kg wet maybe?) bike to embarrass all ahmurrican tractors

Those brakes look like what I'd imagine you get if you showed a Chinese designer a picture of some radials and then said 'here, copy these. And make them as cheaply as possible. From cheese. And make them look like they belong on a toy'.

It costs 4000 US dollars, which is about 76p. So essentially it's a cheaper take on the Ninja 300.

"All digital cluster" the yank says in the video, while it pans across a clearly analogue rev counter. Rolling Eyes

Before I saw someone mention what you ride, my immediate thought was the new ranger of low capacity wannabe 'sports' commuters.

Similar power to the CBR250R, bit more weight, but the bigger presence will appeal to many purchasers.

Seems to be a good chunk cheaper than the ninja and it's not like your typical purchaser is considering performance when they buy.

I was going to quote some indivdual bits from this, but the whole page is Laughing frankly - https://www.johnnypagmotors.com/our-story/ .
