Hey there,
Who has experience in painting the bike? What paint did you apply? How many coats? My story is very short. I gave my bike to one friend for summer. He returned it scratched. Now, he offers to repaint it, but I know that he has never done it. Zero skills at all! Please, give some hints how to restore the frame quickly.

restore a frame quickly? is it the frame that is scratched, or the body work (ie tank and panels)?

to repaint a frame properly would mean a complete strip down, engine out, all bearing, wiring loom, forks, everything so it just a bare frame. Then remove all the original paint before priming and repainting in chosen colour and lacquer on top of that.

if I were to undertake such a task, I would just get the frame blasted and powder coated.

It is in the garage. I will make the photos.
The frame is scratched. And I am afraid that soon it may be corroded. I realize that this is a type of work not on a few hours. But he will do it under my control and as long until he finishes. At least he has a lot of free time.
I googled usual spray paint https://www.mrosupply.com/paint-painting-supplies/spray-paint/1386190_k07904000_krylon/ If we decide to repaint the whole frame.
And this paint https://www.ebay.com/itm/Specialized-Bicycles-Matte-black-touch-up-paint-Bike-flat-/221715443817 if we will remove just scratches.

Sounds like you want www.cyclechatforums.com Wink

What frame is it?

We need pics of the damage.

Repainting the whole frame will involve facing the headtube and depending on what type of bottom bracket you have you might need to also face the bottom bracket shell.
