Wii U? For the gamer who doesn't have one.

I am a middle age IT worker, who has owned consoles since my Grandstand in the late 70s.

Over the years I have owned everything.

But we don't have a Wii U.

We did have a Wii which is now broke which my kids loved.

Does anyone who has a current gen console also own a Wii U? How do they find it, can you recommend it.

I'm interested in the backward compatibility too.

Bit of a Nintendo collector/hoarder here.

It makes great secondary console as it lacks pretty much all of the big AAA blockbusters now. What it does have is a great assortment of unique and quirky games to play with the family.

Affordable Space Adventures is a great example and really shines in multiplayer.

ive got a £1500 gaming pc and a ps4/xbone amongst others....and tbh the wii u holds up very well imo, it does lack the triple A titles of other consoles but overall its fun, monster hunter 3 ultimate and the soon to be released xenblade chronicles x are likely a selling point to some for it, and well mario kart for sure!

i recommend the console to everyone!

I am considering it, we already have a 4 and a one so I don't care about the AAA games. We also have a steam pc.

Until it broke we played Wii frequently, I remember Christmas 2 years back when we got the ps4, by 6pm my youngest had ditched the ps and was playing wii sports.
