Ok, so I just got an old 2002 SV and it came with these crappy dominator twin lights on.
They have to be wired up incorrectly and wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction when it comes to re-wiring them.

Right now when the lights are off they are off, Dipped beam makes the parking lights come on, and Full Beam works as it should giving me full beam.
So as of now I have a choice of using full beam, parking lights or nothing!
I'm at work at the mo so can't get any pics of what the wiring looks like but can post some pics later if anyone needs to see.
The lights are pretty shit anyway so I'm probably just going to replace the whole thing eventually.
Anyone had this issue before? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

This is how H4 connectors are wired:

The pilot light should be fed from a separate, thinner wire. You'll probably need a wiring diagram for your bike to sort it out properly.

Replace them with a normal, round headlight. They are shit.

You'll spend ages tryng to get them working properly when you could have bought a standard, sealed-beam round headlight for £20 and just wired it in.

Ifr you can find one at a good price and are any good at making bracketry. A bare hayabusa headlamp unit looks boss as fuck on an SV650.

I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles.

They are shit indeed. There were a pair fitted to my M900 when I bought it. I replaced them with an aftermarket standard round headlight. Single bulb, much better beam pattern and illumination and cosmetically so much nicer. Win win. Thumbs Up
