Hi,

After my recent accident on the Aprilia, I still need to get the right hand fairing either replaced or repaired. I've used the search but it didn't come up with much info. Its only a simple plastic welding job I think. Just I cant get the fairing back on until one of the bolt holes is popped back into place.

Anyway, I've took a look on https://www.hartside.com/products.html which seemed to be really helpful but the closest bodywork repair shop is in Rotherham.

Does anyone know of cosmetic workshops around Yorkshire, preferably North? I'm prepared to travel if it means i get the work done right and quickly.

When I cracked my R6 fairing I repaired it myself using cable ties and a soldering iron. How bad is the damage?

I just layed the cable ties across the back of the panel and used to soldering iron to melt then on to the plastic. Not an ideal solution, but if it's going to be hidden away anyway...

They never fell off as long as I owned the bike and as far as I know they didn't while Luke owned it. Might be worth a try, as you can guarantee as soon as you pay to have it done professionally, you'll drop the bike again.

Its strange, and hard to explain. But the fairing never cracked or ripped, it just bent and popped outwards. I'm not fussed about the scuffs, its just i need the "nipple" popping back to place because the fairing doesn't fit properly. Sad

may not work. but u could try to heat it up with a heat gun (hairdryer works just as good) and then pop it back in with a flat ended punch.
I dropped my speedfight, but i never had a problem like that one. lol. your bike must be special. Razz

I had the same trouble on a plastic car bumper once, we soaked a towel in boiling water and left it on the dent for ten mins or so, and the dent popped back out with minor persuasion from the opposite side - might be worth a try Very Happy
