Apparently the best place to see the Maginot line is the Hackenberg fortress, plenty of information around if you search but here's a good start

I'm going mid July next year after spending a few days doing 1st world war stuff around Ypres.
A really good book is "the Maginot line 1928-45" by Osprey publishing

The Maginot line takes ages to get through - best to go around it via Belgium. ____________________ Current bike: K1100RS. Previous: CD200, GSX250, GT550, VFR750, K100LT, K1100LT, R1100GS, R1150GS, ZZR1100, Hayabusa, RSV Mille, MV F4 750S, R1, ZX-10, KTM Adventure 950S |

It is open most days, there is a web site for the hackenberg fort with all the info, opens about 10am, various tours in english, french and german. Takes a few hours.
About 10 euros per person, it's cold inside, whatever the weather is doing outside, you'll need a coat.
I took a BCF group there a couple of years ago and everyone enjoyed it, worth a visit if you are interested in that sort of thing. ____________________ Nobby the Bastard: How yo tell the difference between the actual japanese and her just screaming because she's had live fish stuck up her arse?
