You get what you pay for when it comes to powder coating have previously used Chicago in mosley, Ashton and Denton powdercoating,North Manchester.
Looked at triple SSS and fastline as they take care and mainly do bikes and have a good name.
Fastline in Preston appear to be the only ones whom advertise that they acid etch and phosphate prime before applying powdercoating.
All my previous powdercoating has failed as it's been straight onto bare metal.
If you want a lasting job look for in house blast facility's,wets spray booth and primer coats Very Happy

When I took the Kawasaki's wheels to my local bike shop to have the tyres and bearings removed they told me most new bikes have powder-coated wheels now and they're seeing a lot more chips arising during tyre changes as a result. In fact they urged me to get them painted instead. Powder coat may be hard and therefore scratch resistant but it sounds like it is also more brittle than a conventional spray-painted finish.

In the event the local powder-coating company didn't have the right colour matches anyway so they shot-blasted the wheels and swing arm, then etch-primed them. I then sanded them smooth and I'm waiting for a car body shop to spray them using materials I've supplied from RS Bike Paints. I fancied doing it all myself but realised I didn't have the facilities or the skill.
