I'd buy one made for a bike, (if possible with a reserve postion) so you can be reasonably sure it will flow enough fuel.
Positon it as close as possible to the lowest part of teh tank - don't want 'dead spot' to gather cr@p and condensed water. Make sure you have clearance fo rth internal filter/reserve tube. ____________________ Now: A100, GT250A, XJ598, FZ750

If I were you, I'd make up a steel plate to fit over that rectangular hole with all the perimeter holes (cardboard template would be easiest).
In the middle of that flange/plate, I'd weld/braze/silver solder a 1/4" BSP socket then drill up the middle.
I'd then fit it to the tank using a cardboard gasket and a skimming of RTV.
Next I would buy neither of those fuel taps because they don't have a reserve position. Instead I'd get a standard motorcycle 1/4" BSP male fuel cock with a reserve position and fit that.
You can also get female fitting fuel cocks. So you could use one of those and fit a 1/4" equal nipple to your flange. fnar
Really nice (but pricey) one here:

Cheaper ones on ebay. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
