Right regarding the CPI GTR I have, as you'll all know it was rebuilt etc the father in law managed to snap an exhaust stud in the barrel and has somehow managed to remove it, the stud was then replaced with a new one and a nut and was sealing correctly, exhaust apparently had a bit of water in it so he'd emptied it.

Apparently it's managed to cure it as it started and idled on its own quite happily for 5-10 minutes before it then decided to spit the water out of the header tank and then cut out...I've gone up there to find out what's happened to it and it's been stood there not starting at all, I've took the spark plug out and it's pissing water out of the cylinder, what's gone wrong this time?

Coolant in the cylinder means the head or the cylinder is cracked or the head gasket is leaking. My guess is the head gasket. It's probably been rebuilt by someone who didn't know quite what they were doing.

"Urgent" is just shorthand for "I have a moped that me and my gorilla-fisted mates and 5-quarter-turn relatives have Barried until it doesn't work".

OP, you can pour more time and money into it but you'll still have a worthless machine. I'd seriously suggest that you buy something Japanese branded and then leave it alone.

Is there any need for attitude? We're all equal and I am far from being a cunt thankyou.

And unlike some of you others are not flushed with cash hence the reason I've been trying to get this going. It is now going, and runs as sweet as a fucking nut the ones who helped thankyou, the ones that threw mindless insults and told me to do such and such and get myself a Japanese bike because they're far more reliable etc...what the fuck did everyone say when the likes of Honda and Yamaha first hit our shores? That's right "buy a British bike they're much more reliable"...how many fucking times did a Honda pass a rider of a BSA or the likes?

Thankyou for the advice from the people who gave it, the rest of you can hang your heads in shame.

Fair play, I'm impressed that you managed to source a head gasket and sort it out in 9 hours.

Hmm, I didn't actually say that Japanese bikes were more reliable. Still, you know better what was in my head than I do.

How many times has your CPI passed a Honda? I mean other than than on the back of a flatbed.
