 |
|
Hi guys, searched the forum but couldn't find any definitive answers.
Going to pick up a moped for the mrs on Tuesday, it's a fair old distance (120 miles) - which I could ride back, but it's only 110cc & don't really fancy the M1, M42 & M5 on it...
My brothers giving me a lift up there & if we can fit in on it's side in the back of his car is there any reason not too? It's a Suzuki Address so it's air cooled - just had it's 600 mile service, I know that we should definitely take the petrol out, but what about the oil, would it be silly to have it on it's side for a couple of hours?
Any help or experience would be great!
Thanks all |

I'd drain the engine oil and remove tank. Watch out for brake fluid from the/any master cylinders and expect fuel to piss out from the carb or filter, pipes etc when you lay the bike down, it always does.........but it soon evaporates, it just stinks the vehicle out for a few months ____________________ Space Is Deep |

Thanks for the replies guys, couldn't fit it in the car in the end without taking things off, so rode it the 120 miles back in the rain!
Wasn't too bad, was faster than I thought it would be... |
