Can anyone recommend anywhere that does Plastic Welding in Glasgow.

We tried to fix the crack on my bike yesterday, but because of where it is, when you screw the front fairing back onto the bike it cracks again Confused So we're thinking about just getting someone professional to fix it!

So if anyone can recommend somewhere to take it, I'd be grateful for the info!!

Cheers!!! Thumbs Up

A good spray painter should be able to repair a cracked panel so it's good as new.

Try your local bike shop, ask them who does there painting. Failing that, drop me a line, I've had repairs done before and the guy that done them is shit hot. Only problem is, he's in Ayr.

That's a good idea. I did a similar thing when I needed the tank on my R6 sorting. I spoke to the mechanic at the local Yamaha dealer and he gave me the number for the bloke that did their repairs. It was a cash in hand job and saved me a fortune.

OT: I'd just like to say I misread the title of this thread as 'Plastic Wedding in Glasgow'. Intrigued, I clicked on it and was most disappointed when I realised my mistake. Sad Embarassed

I got a bit of plastic welding done for the Ninja, but I just got them to do the basics because I wanted to do the rest myself (and they were a wee bit condescending about that, but never mind!)

Now, where were they based... Kilsyth! I think that's nearer to you than Ayr.. I can't remember the name of the company, let me know if you want me to dig it out Smile

I was hoping for something more close to home, but I'll keep searching!!

If you don't mind me asking Izzi - what kind of price did they charge you? Just so I've got an idea when getting some quotes! Thumbs Up

I think I paid £30 - one of the mounting points of the side fairing panel was completely broken off, they welded it back together for me but didn't do any finishing, I did all that myself (I'm not sure what finishing would have added to the price, I never asked!)
