Mate has a vfr 400 . Bottom ends gone . Needs new radiator and hoses and fairings . General tidy up . Fork seals etc .

He was on about selling it as parts but i said i fancy a bit of a project but neither of us know what to price it ?

Any ideas what its worth in its current condition

As parts is worth maybe a couple of hundred quid + months of hassle and having to get rid of a load of leftovers that won't sell.

As a complete fucked bike it's worth scrap value - currently around £13.52

Stick it on ebay as "untested - I have no petrol" and it'll probably make £4,638.35 and a neg feedback.

Whatever the parts are worth on ebay.

VFR400s were known to have strong engines, so if your mate has neglected it to the point of killing the bottom end I would expect the rest of it to be knackered too.

I wouldn't take it on as a project if it was free.

Surely much less than the parts are worth, since it hasn't been disassembled.

I might take it on to part it out to other mugs who have taken one on as a project.

If it's in reasonable nick, probably about £400. Check eBay completed listings.

Engine parts are hard to come by, so if it's dead then the bike is only really good for a swap in or for breaking. Going rate for complete engines is 400 ish so getting another might be viable.

Depending on year, running examples start around 7-800 and tidy ones 2k ish
