I received a pair of yellow H4 bulbs for my 7R a couple of weeks ago (we have a different headlamp on the 7R over here, I have actually got a spare Euro spec projector lamp though).
I'm going to fit them when I service the bike next month . ____________________ Current: ZZR1400

I wanted just the right one (high beam) to be yellow. It was about 1.50 pounds for the bulb, I swapped it in like 5 minutes and it looks just like I wanted it to be, a ''retro'' endurance GP bike.
EDIT: When I use the low beam, the high beam is off. The high beam is H1 and the low beam is H3, both bulbs have only one fiber. There's no way I could just run the high beam with out the low beam, but it is reasonable, I wouldn't see a thing in front of the bike if the low beam was off. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Well, I couldn't test it on the road, it's around 0°C here and below during the night, ice is evere where. I just shut the door of the garage and tested it before and after and the yellow one had distinctly ''thicker'' light. The garage was alight up like the sun was shining in there.
But, it's the high beam, so the bulb is there just for the looks, not the performance. I use it just to flash at cars before I over take them. The standard H1 did not work that well, I did one night run and high beam or not, it was the same, so will see how that yellow blast from the past will perform in the spring. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ
