Pleased to say I passed mod 2 today (22nd Dec).
I passed theory, mods1 and 2 first time.
Thanks very much to all who posted mod 1 and 2 tips and advice on here it all helped. Thumbs Up

If anyone needs training in Midlands area, I can recommend a good instructor and test centre.

I feel a part of the proper biker family now. Can't wait to do bike shopping in early summer 2016 Very Happy

Congrats always nice to get it all out the way first time to save some money and avoid postponing the long winded process even further.

Pics when you buy something.

You mean training school? Go on..

I don't need one for another couple of years (because stupid A2) or intend to use one other than the localish to me one but always open to recommendations.

Training school info would be great. I want to sort an A2 intensive course over the next month or so.

Cheers and congrats on the pass!

Instructors name is Steve Groome he works with Riders school in Wolverhampton. He is very good, highly recommended. Same with Wolverhampton test centre and a certain examiner who is good. You can ring the 'Riders' school office but tell them you want Steve as instructor. You can have DAS tailor made...spaced out to suit your time, finances etc. I rode nearly 20 miles each way for training and tests...well worth it !

Thanks very much. I did my cbt with riders a few months ago at their brierley hill site so i was planning to call them anyway. Might be worth the short trip to Wolverhampton if you think this bloke is good though.

I know Steve Groome is good...I passed mods 1 and 2 first time. His mod 1 training is at Monmore Green stadium car park and it includes road riding so you can hear and feel adequate speed for the mod 1 swerves etc. On mod 2 he takes you through parts of test routes where faults could occur....this prevents faults occuring. Also he knows examiners which eases nerves. Any number called on Riders website goes to Birmingham Selly Oak office.

Congratulations - your signature sounds just like me. I too passed this year a few weeks ago infact, and I wish I'd taken this up 25 years ago.

My advice would be to go out and get yourself a big bike now rather than early summer. Deals are amazing at the moment......buyers market in the winter.

What kind of bike are you looking for? I went straight in to the cruiser market with a triumph America (picked up yesterday) although o might get myself a street triple for daily commute.

I'll be looking for tourer / commuter type bike as I commute 350+ miles a week. Tempted to get Gladius sv650 as that's what I used for DAS.

This could be a complete coincidence, but, the guy who bought my daughters YBR after she passed her test, passed on the 22nd.

Steve did you text me to say you'd passed?

Do bike shopping when it's not the start of the season for the 3 sunny weekends brigade.
