Fitted to the side of overhead gantry. You won't see until they flash. They are fitted about 2 ft higher than the car roof. Go careful.

They aren't hidden, just sneaky. I would never have spotted them but for the fact that I saw one flash on the opposite carriageway.

Went through this area the other day.

Don't think I was doing above 85 at any point.

Hope I don't get anything through.

The limit through there currently is around 60. Saw at least 5 flashes on way to m23

Its like the now annoying stretch of the A14 i have to commute through everyday. They're widening the road, so what do they do.. Reduce the 70mph to a 40mph and stick average speed cameras the whole way down.

So every morning its like a bloody parking lot..

I'm sure they are using it to pay for the road scheme.. Its about a 10 mile stretch of average speed cameras

If there was a limit I probably stuck to it. I usually do!

Those bastards are up to some dodgy 'smart motorway' stuff. The M1, M3 & M25 are all getting the treatment. It'll probably be pay lane enforcement at strategic bottlenecks so they can make money & make even more money at the same time. They're ring fencing the routes around & into the 300 million quid fine mine. Now you can't even avoid London without it reaching out to tax you. Road safety? Its a protection racket. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/457643/Secret-speed-cameras-to-catch-drivers-going-faster-than-70mph

I see that these are now being installed around the Heathrow area of the M25 - at least from the M40 to the A30 in both directions. Some of the new brackets mounted to the sides of the gantries already have cameras, some are empty at the moment. No idea when they are going live.

Wow, what's the point of putting more cameras around there, that area is never over 40mph anyway.
