Very different from Into Darkness: jumping everywhere is the new running everywhere.

It's not Trek. That mantle has passed to Axanar.

Fan canon. Drooling

Get your nerd on.

If it gets a bit wordy just watch the trailer.

That, right there, is Star Trek. I'll get my pew-pew elsewhere, thanks.

Hmm, bit unrealistic, they hit it.

Maybe they were just firing at Earth and the Enterprise got in the way?

Maybe it was the aliens from Independence day controlling it.

Wonder if they are using a USB-C cable by now? Thinking

Just watched the Star Trek trailer, can't say I'm grabbed. Wonder if they'll change the series name to "Phasers and Photons", you know, keep the witty alliterative vibe going.

Watched the trailer, thought it looked shit. Too much slap stick humour and one liners galore.

I'd love a Halo film focussed on the ship-to-ship space combat. The first book was well good for it.

I guess it's a choice of either nucanon pew-pew, or shaky amateur sets from here.

On a side note, for all my star trekking buddies.

I have a self build metal Star Wars Tie-Fighter model that looks pretty awesome.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dtoys&field-keywords=metal+earth+models+star+wars

I noticed there are Star Trek models too.

3 for £20 @ iwoot

Might have to start a collection.

I always thought Babylon 5 put a fair bit of consideration about physics into their space combat.

Still not above the odd bit of pew-pew or engine noise but they at least paid lip service to the conservation of momentum.

Check out The Expanse, the books are awesome and the series is pretty decent.

Region locked to the US, but available on torrents.
