Fun as it is to watch competent flippers and spinny-smashy bots, it'd have been nice to give a bye to something other than a no-hoper axe-bot like Thor. Really, that thing was like a bait-dog being thrown to starving pitbulls. I'd have preferred to see Gabriel in there to at least throw them a curveball googly.

I loves a bit of rekage, but there are times where all's not fair, even in Robot Wars. They could do with giving teams a way to explicitly throw in the towel, at least in the heats, rather than allowing 10 seconds of spinny steely teabagging that leaves nothing but scattered scrap and teen tears before bedtime.

It's been interesting to see the progression over the years from simple axebots to flippers to horizontal spinners and now vertical spinners. The mind boggles as to what will be next.
