replacment down pipes 08 hayabusa

Can any one tell me am replacing my old down pipes on 08 busa with after market ones with no CAT. What effect will this have on bike running. As noticed electric leads coming from cat to bike does this have anything to do with ECU

Yes there lambda sensor which provides a signal to the ECU. You can remove the lambda but you need a little widget to fool the ECU into thinking it's still there. On the Gen1 bikes you just took a wire off the ECU plug but I don't think it works on the gen2. Ask on ukbusas they'll know for sure.
